www.newyorkislanders.com (Uniondale, NY, July 17, 2009) - The New York Islanders today announced the release of their 2009 pre-season schedule.
 On Monday, September 14th, the Islanders will play their first game in Terrace, BC against the Vancouver Canucks as a part of Kraft Hockeyville 2009 at 7 p.m., local time.
The Islanders will play two games at their training camp facility, the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, SASK. On Saturday, September 19th they will face off against the Calgary Flames and the following evening, Sunday, Sepetmber 20th, take on the Edmonton Oilers. Both games are set for 7 p.m., local time.
At the close of Training Camp the Islanders will head to Kansas City, MO where they will play the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday, September, 22nd at 5 p.m. local time at the Sprint Center.
The following night the Islanders return to Long Island for their lone pre-season home game, Wednesday, September 23rd at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, when they matchup with the New Jersey Devils. Face-off is set for 7 p.m.
The Islanders will close their pre-season schedule, completing a home-and-home series with New Jersey on Tuesday, September 29th at the Prudential Center. Game-time to be announced. |
