The Big Blue defense is the obvious culprit. In the magical Super Bowl season of 2007, despite a poor start, under then defensive coordinator and current St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo, Big Blue was seventh in the National Football League in team defense, allowing 21.9 points per game.
