What can be better when you combine America's game with beautiful sunny Florida? We asked New York baseball fans at the Mets' Port St. Lucie facility how far they traveled from and how many years have they have enjoyed the spring training experience.

 
   
Holbrook resident Peter Carnavos with daughter Kristine and son Matthew enjoy their first spring training at Mets camp.
 
John Tilen and son Matthew of Huntington enjoy their first trip to spring training.
   
   
Former Utica resident Matt Fuerst, with daughter Halle, took a short trip from their home in Orlando to cheer on their favorite team. Matt has been going to spring training games for 20 years.
 
Jason & Nicole Miller traveled down from Clifton, NJ along with daughter Alexa and Son Bradon for their first spring training experience.
   
   
Originally from Levittown, Kate & Bob Page along with their son Sam, made their fourth spring training trip from their home in Nashville, TN.
 
Washingtonville residents Mike & Quenby Frimet, with their daughter Kate and son Jack, experience Mets spring training for the first time.
   
   
Staci Murphy of Staten Island and Evan Berman of Freehold, NJ also enjoying their first trip to spring training.

Michael, Patrick and Colin McGreevy of Malverne, have been coming to spring training for four years looking for autographs and watching their favorite Mets players.
 
Three generation Mets fans, Mary Ellen Couse, formally of the Bronx, with her daughter Kristen and grandson Wile Couse-Schwarz of Brooklyn, took a ride from grandma's house in Port St. Lucie to cheer on their favorite team. The Couse family has been visiting the Mets spring training camp since 1999.
   
   
Former Sussex State softball players and friends Kelly Apgar and Shawn Wrede, made the trip from New Jersey to enjoy their first experience at spring training and to also work on their tan.
 
Avid Mets fans Kathy & Harry Torres made their journey down south from the Bronx. This year was their ninth trip to Mets spring training camp.
