Hofstra Basketball To Face Both Preseason Top Ranked Teams |

http://www.gohofstra.com/ Hempstead, N.Y. – Hofstra University is one of three schools nationally to have its basketball teams face both preseason #1 teams during the 2009-10 season.
The Hofstra Men's Basketball team opens its 2009-10 campaign on Friday, November 13 when they face Kansas at 7 p.m. (central time) in Phog Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks were picked first in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.
The Pride Women's Basketball team, which opens its season on Monday, November 16 at home against Buffalo (7 p.m.), will face Connecticut on Friday, November 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Storrs, Connecticut (Gampel Pavilion). The Huskies received all 31 first place votes and were picked first in the preseason USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll.
Texas and Oklahoma, both conference opponents for Kansas, are the only two other schools to have both preseason #1 teams on their 2009-10 schedules.
